About Gray Whale Paddle
We have been in business since 1992, and evolved through the years from a touring kayak oriented format, then around 2000 began to specialize in paddleboards, first prone and then SUP. Since about 2005 we have been a paddleboard specialty business. Founder and sole owner Larry Froley has been around watersports, including surfing, canoeing, kayaking, and both prone and SUP paddleboarding for a lifetime.
Larry is a Professional Stand Up Paddle Association (PSUPA) certified Instructor Trainer, as well as an Advisory Board Member. It is his unique background of surfing and having paddled many types of manually powered watercraft that provided the insight to assist CLC with the development of their paddleboard line, especially the SUPs!
Larry is also a certified personal trainer and sports nutritionist, with a passion for keeping people healthy and fit.

- Promote the concept of building your own paddle craft; there is both a pride factor & a nostalgia factor to this!
- Provide top quality instruction and education.
- Promote on-the-water safety.
- Promote the concept of paddleboarding for health and fitness.
- We don’t sell or promote anything that we don’t use and fully endorse!
